Danbo is the alter ego of the girl Miura Hayasaka, a friend of the main character Yotsuba Koiwai. The cardboard creation, originally a science project, is simple but convincing to the naïve girl, and from the manga has gone on to become an internet sensation and popular around the world.
The new action figure version has all of the details of Kotobukiya’s Danbo plastic model kit but with none of the assembly; it’s ready to play right out of the box!
Sculpted by Mitsunobu Tamura, Danbo stands just under 4 ½ inches tall and features multiple points of articulation for poseability and magnets in the feet to keep the robot upright. It also comes with alternate parts to display Danbo with the eye lights on or off and special slide-on weapon accessories!
The possibilities for fun are endless with the Danbo action figure alongside the other Yotsuba&! figures and model kits from Kotobukiya.
